Dorothy Ann "Dotty" Burton, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 due to stage 4 lung cancer. She was born January 7, 1942 in Corpus Christi, TX to Ethel Brown Dodson and Ralph Samuel Dodson.

Dotty proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. She was a spiritual woman and involved in many church activities. She also loved holidays and family get togethers. Any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She will be sorely missed.

Dotty is survived by her daughter, Kendall Burton, and her "Bonus daughter," Maria Dansbo from Denmark; granddaughter, Trystanne "Cricket" Gosnell, and several family members in Texas and Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Burton; younger brother John Dodson; parents, Ethel and Ralph Dodson; younger sister, Helen; and her beloved dog Schatz.

Rosary will be held at 5:30 pm Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will follow from 6pm to 8pm, Saturday October 19, 2019 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, October 20, 2019 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point, TX.
