Doyle Ray
Scott
September 17, 1955 – November 8, 2025
DOYLE RAY SCOTT, 70, passed away on November 8, 2025, in Wills Point, Texas. A proud veteran, devoted family man, and lifelong truck driver, Doyle lived a life marked by hard work, honesty, and deep love for those closest to him.
Born on September 17, 1955, in American Falls, Idaho, Doyle was raised in the heart of the Gem State and graduated from Aberdeen High School. His early years instilled in him a strong work ethic and a straightforward nature that would define his character throughout his life.
Doyle served honorably in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. His time in the military reflected his commitment to duty and country—values he carried with him long after his service ended.
Following his military service, Doyle embarked on a lifelong career as a truck driver hauling heavy equipment. He took pride in his work and spent countless miles on the road with determination and grit. Whether navigating highways or lending a hand to fellow drivers, Doyle was known as an all-around good guy—genuine, intelligent, fun to be around, and always straight to the point.
In later years, Doyle made his home in Texas. He lived for several years in Whitewright before settling in Wills Point. It was here that he found community among friends at the OTR 4U RV Park and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee or a cold beer, watching football games, and spending time with his beloved dog Max.
On December 22, 2014, Doyle married Marianna Scott. Their bond was deep and enduring until her passing on December 13, 2024. He dearly loved Marianna and cherished their time together.
Doyle's legacy lives on through his son Alejandro Ray Scott and daughter-in-law Laci; grandchildren Courtney, Allie, Shawn, and Dillon; great-grandchildren Briar, Zeppelin, Greyson, and Stormey; brothers Terry Scott, Jerry Scott, and Billy Scott; sister Darryl Scott; many friends from the RV park community; and his loyal four-legged companion Max.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marianna Scott; parents Alvin Miles Scott and Norma Mae Westover; and great-grandchild Jelly Bean.
Doyle Ray Scott will be remembered as a wonderful man who lived life on his own terms—with honesty, humor, loyalty to those he loved most—and a heart full of quiet strength. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
