Funeral services for Dwight Edwards, 64, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor C. R. Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

He passed away Friday morning, December 26, 2014 in Edgewood.

Dwight was born December 4, 1950, in Wills Point, Texas, the son of Joe Will Edwards and Catherine Mae Nalls Edwards. He was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1969. On March 16, 1997 he married Sandra Gail Humphries in Edgewood. Dwight was self-employed as a rancher. He lived in Canton for twenty-three years prior to moving to Edgewood eighteen years ago. He enjoyed raising cattle, going to equipment auctions and cattle auctions. Dwight was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by his father, Joe Will Edwards; mother, Catherine Mae Edwards on December 17, 2014 and two brothers.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Sandy Edwards, of Edgewood; two sons, Buddy Edwards & wife, Joy, of Canton and Donny Edwards, of Canton; two sisters, Carol Whitten & husband, Lloyd, of Arlington and Sandra Spharler, of Wills Point and two grandchildren, Jordan Edwards and Laci Edwards.

Pallbearers: Larry Sprague, Lee Thornton, Wayne Sloan, Jerry Ward, Randall Preston and Charlie Baker

Honorary Pallbearers: James Grisham, Leon Lester, Boyd Austin, Les McFarland, David John Rosamond, Terry Edwards, Don Edwards, Danny Joe Clair and Gary Edwards, Jr.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
