Obituary

E. G. Maroney, 68, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on February 6, 2024. He was born on February 25, 1955, in Terrell, Texas, to the late Amile and Fannie Mae Maroney. E. G. was a retired construction worker who worked in Dallas before retiring in 1990.

E. G. received Christ in his life at a young age and was a member of the East Oak Street Church of Christ in Edgewood, Texas.  He is known for his sense of humor and his thoughtfulness. He was a wise person who always had a kind word to share. He enjoyed playing dominos with his family and friends while listening to music. E. G. will be remembered as a funny, thoughtful, and wise individual.

E. G. is survived by four brothers, C. G. Maroney, Randy Shaw, Bruce Gipson, and Robert Wayne Gipson; four sisters, Mary Hamilton, Patricia Smiley, Janice Bell, and Nicole Luckey; special aunts, Annie Antia and Emma Elie; special cousins Sylvester Spencer, Jr. and Jimmy Dale Spencer; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amile and Fannie Mae Maroney.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the East Oak Street Church of Christ in Edgewood, Texas, where E. G. worshipped as a Protestant.

The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
