Edward John Benish, Jr., aged 69, passed away on November 3, 2024, in Terrell, Texas. Born on December 18, 1954, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Edward was a beloved figure known for his loving, creative, and selfless nature. He graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School in 1972 and built a fulfilling career at Madix, where he worked for 43 years as a machinist before retiring on August 8, 2023.

Edward had a passion for carpentry, dedicating much of his free time to building and working with wood, creating lasting memories and pieces for his family and friends. His life was deeply rooted in the love for his family. He is survived by his wife, Lori Anne Benish; sons, EJ Benish and his wife Devon, Josh Benish and his wife Nicole, and Cody Smith and his fiancée Abagail Mullin; daughters, Laura Davis and her husband Adam, and Caitlyn Smith; grandchildren, Kaleb, Lily, Eli, Aiden, Ava, Skyler, Gracie, and Marley; brother, David Benish; and sisters, Margaret Jean Riedminger and Barbie Davidson. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jean Benish, and his sister, Joann Lohrman.

The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, is assisting the family during this time. Edward's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, as a testament to the strength and warmth he brought to the world.
