Elizabeth “Beth” Jo Matich, born December 1, 1970, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. Beth’s life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family, steady friendship, and enduring spirit.

Beth was the beloved daughter of Judith Adams and step-daughter of Richard Adams. She cherished the memories of her father, Leon Mauldin, and her grandmother, Jo Mae England, who preceded her in death. Family was at the very core of Beth’s life, and her nurturing heart enriched the lives of all around her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Matich, and her children: Colton Perry and his wife, Stashia; Patrick O’Leary; Draven Matich; Jenafer Morrow and her husband, Mike; and Kalynn Matich. Beth found immense joy in her role as a mother, guiding her children through life with kindness and wisdom. The light of her life was further brightened by her grandchildren: Ethan, Callum, Dean, Emmy, Edward, Arik, Noah, Lane, Faye, Finnegan, Rhea, Nathaniel, and Michael, each of whom Beth loved dearly. 

Beth was a caring sister to John Mauldin and his wife, Kimberly, and to her brother Carl Mauldin and his wife, Randi. The warmth of her family extended to her uncle, Willie England, whose stories and love added to her childhood memories. She also adored her nieces and nephews and honored her bonds with her extended family.

Many friendships enriched Beth’s journey. Together with dear friends Ashleigh Carroll-Weishman, Jonathan Weishman, and Casey Cates, Beth shared countless moments of laughter, comfort, and camaraderie throughout the years. The lasting connections with friends made Beth’s world larger, and her loyalty and sincerity ensured those friendships endured.

Beth’s compassion, resilience, and open-heartedness were a gift to everyone she knew. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength—a reminder that kindness makes the world better, and that the bonds of family and friendship are among life’s greatest blessings. An important part of her life was serving as a Para in Life Skills at Wills Point ISD, where she tended to each child affectionately.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Beth’s honor on August 29, 2026. Details of the event will be determined and shared with family and friends as arrangements are finalized.

While the loss of Beth is deeply felt, her memory will forever inspire and comfort those she leaves behind. She will be remembered with love, gratitude, and enduring respect.
