She was born on April 16, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas, to Clayton J. Sawyers and Barbara Sawyers. She was raised in Grand Prairie and graduated from South Grand Prairie High School with the Class of 1971

Elizabeth shared over 54 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Karl Ray Ogdie. Together, they served the Lord faithfully as pastor and pastor's wife for more than 40 years. Elizabeth embraced her calling with grace and joy, standing faithfully beside her husband while ministering to countless lives. She spoke at hundreds of ladies' meetings across the United States, always pointing hearts to Christ and encouraging women to grow in their faith.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Karl Ray Ogdie; her sons and daughters-in-law, Shane Ogdie and Misty Ogdie, Jeremy and Kelli Ogdie, and Shaun and Kelli Ogdie; her second mother Judy Sawyers, her brother and sister in-law Mike and Alice Sawyers; her grandchildren, Devin Ogdie and his wife Christina, Taylor Ogdie, Sarah Ogdie, Joshua Ogdie, Breanna Ogdie, Savannah Ogdie, Nathan Ogdie, Katlyn Ogdie, and Joanna Ogdie; and her cherished great-grandchild, Archer Michael Ogdie.

Elizabeth Ogdie never met a person she didn't like. She was known for her loving spirit, warm smile, and genuine kindness to everyone she encountered. She deeply loved her family, treasured redbirds, and adored her husband. Above all else, Elizabeth loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life was a testimony of faith, service, and unwavering devotion to the Lord she served so faithfully.
