Emma Jean Richardson (Adams), age 87, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, in Wills Point, Texas.

Born on March 12, 1938, in Sacul, Texas, Emma was the daughter of John Franklin Adams and Eva Melinda Stover. She was raised in Tyler, Texas, where she spent her formative years and began cultivating the warmth and resilience that would define her life.

On September 8, 1951, Emma married Hasel Dee Richardson. Their union spanned more than five decades until Hasel's passing in 2007. Together they built a family rooted in love and perseverance.

Emma dedicated her professional life to the beauty industry as a cosmetologist and later shared her expertise by teaching cosmetology to others. Her work not only enhanced the lives of her clients but also inspired many students who followed in her footsteps. Her career reflected both her creativity and her desire to uplift those around her.

A devoted member of the Assembly of God church, Emma found strength and community through her faith. She was known for her kind heart, spunky spirit, and deep compassion for others. She had a special love for children and delighted in crocheting—an art she practiced with care and joy.

Emma is lovingly remembered by her daughter Gloria Jones; her grandchildren Adrian Huens and Tony Jones and his wife Kristi; great-grandson Michael Shawn Jones-Richardson She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hasel Dee Richardson; her parents John Franklin Adams and Eva Melinda Stover; and two sons, Darrell Richardson and Jackie Lee Richardson; and nine siblings.

A graveside service to honor Emma Jean will be held at noon on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Bascom Cemetery, 12564 FM 848, Tyler, Texas.

Emma's legacy lives on through the lives she touched with grace, humor, and unwavering kindness. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
