She was the beloved daughter of the late Chong Siau and Agustina Quintanar and a cherished sister to her late siblings Elsa Siau, Mita Vigil, Ida Chen, Nelda Siau, and the surviving Dora Palmer of Salinas, California.

Ena was a loving wife to her late husband, Ygnacio Ruiz-Martinez, and a devoted mother to her five sons, late Samuel Ruiz, Angel Ruiz, Javier Ruiz, Roy Ruiz, and George Ruiz.
