Funeral services for Ethel Mae Heddin, 86, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Jonathan Leach officiating. Interment will follow at Creagleville Cemetery near Grand Saline under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home.
She passed away Thursday night, July 20, 2017, in Tyler.
Ethel Mae was born October 26, 1930, in Fruitvale, the daughter of Walter B. Copeland and Annie Baker Copeland. She was raised in Fruitvale and in 1948; she graduated from Garland High School. On October 24, 1953, she married Major Ray Heddin in Edgewood. Mae was formerly employed from the Edgewood I.S.D., where she had worked in the cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking and sewing. Mae loved her family very much and looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Edgewood.
Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Annie Copeland; husband, Ray Heddin on July 5, 2014; three brothers and one sister.
Mae is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Reynolds and husband, Leslie, of Edgewood; three grandchildren, Aron Reynolds & wife, Jennifer, of Naples, Alli Watkins & husband, Matt, of Edgewood and Alysa Reynolds, of Edgewood and four great-grandchildren, Brantley Wheeler, Ovetta Reynolds, Jordan Watkins and Major Reynolds.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
