Graveside service for Evelyn Louise Franklin, 87, of Canton, formerly of Wills Point, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Locust Grove Cemetery south of Wills Point with Mr. James Haynes officiating. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Sunday afternoon, June 12, 2016 in Canton.
Evelyn was born October 11, 1928, in Dallas, the daughter of George and Beulah Bennett. She was raised in Dallas, where she attended public school. In April of 1975, she married Charles Franklin in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Evelyn was employed by Chase Bank in Dallas as a teller for ten years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed sewing and painting. She lived in Wills Point for several years prior to moving to Canton. Evelyn was a member of the Van Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, George and Beulah Bennett; husband, Charles Franklin on January 20, 2012 and a son, Ricky Truelove.
Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Diane McCormick & husband, Billy McCormick, of Dike and Vicki Maltese & husband, Mike, of Dallas; son, Donnie Truelove; ten grandchildren, Meredith Kuykendall, Clifford McCormick, Shane McCormick, W.O. McCormick, Mikey McCormick, Kelly Maltese, Marty Johnson, Tracy Truelove, Carrie Truelove and Aaron Truelove and twelve great-grandchildren.
