Services for Faye W. Stewart, 80, of Canton will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Friday morning, September 1, 2017, at her home in Canton.
Faye was born February 18, 1937, in Canton, Texas, the daughter of Harden and Lou Wilhite. She was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1954. Shortly after graduation in August of 1954, she married Bill Allred in Wills Point. They lived in Wills Point, where she was a realtor at Allred Real Estate, substitute teacher at Wills Point I.S.D. and a Cub Scout leader. Faye played bridge, golfed and spent as much time as possible with her sisters, Gay Mitchell and Jeri Sullivan. On June 3, 1978, she married W.L. "Bill" Stewart and they made their home in Seabrook. Faye volunteered at Seabrook I.S.D., where she helped children with their reading skills until 2010. In 2013, they moved to Canton to be close to family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harden and Lou Wilhite and a brother-in-law, Charles Mitchell.
Faye is survived by her husband, William L. "Bill" Stewart, of Canton; son, William Bryan "Bill" Allred & wife, Frankie, of Bullard; daughter, Julie Jenkins & husband, Lanny, of Canton; two sisters, Gay Mitchell, of Canton and Jeri Sullivan & husband, Jerry, of Canton; five grandchildren, Katrina Barnes, Candace Arnold & husband, Wade, Diana Barton, Donna Barton and Daniel Barton; six great-grandchildren, Kolter Wade Arnold, Alyssa Fleet, Amber Ramirez, Lauren Barton, Destiny Barton and J.J. Barton; special friends, Nelda & Allen Lee, Marty & Richard Bullock and Ed & Martha Carrillo.
