Funeral services for Gaile Labeth Brooks, 79, of Kaufman, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. James Short officiating. Interment will follow at Rader Cemetery near Kaufman.
She passed away Sunday night, October 2, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Gaile was born August 5, 1937, in Centrahoma, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harry Bosworth and Naomi Linker Bosworth. Due to her father's job, she was raised in many areas, graduating from Paris High School. On June 4, 1955, she married Don Wayne Brooks in Paris. Gaile was formerly employed by Frito Lay in Dallas. After retirement, Gaile and her sister, Mary owned and operated a resale shop in Wills Point, Bargains Galore. After seven years of operation, they closed in November 2013. She enjoyed collecting antiques. She lived in Edgewood prior to moving to Kaufman twelve years ago. Gaile was a member of Balch Springs Church of God.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Naomi Bosworth and two sisters, Patricia Bosworth and Mary Free.
Gaile is survived by her husband, Pastor Don Brooks, of Kaufman; daughter, Donna Polege & husband, Eddie, of Kaufman; brother, Jerry Bosworth & wife, Marilyn, of Moline, Illinois; brother-in-law, Howard Free, of Kaufman; sister, Sherry Boatman & husband, William, of Dallas; three grandchildren, Christy Drake, Lacey Polege & fiancée, Dagoberto Matamoros and Samantha Polege and three great-grandchildren, Payton Drake, Ethan Drake and Brayden Drake.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
