Obituary

Funeral services for Geneva Julia Allen, 99, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point with Mr. Randy Reagan officiating. Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

She passed away early Wednesday morning, September 13, 2017, in Mt. Vernon.

Geneva was born September 3, 1918, in McKinney, Texas, the daughter of John Wesley & Minnie Burge. She was raised in McKinney, where she attended public school. On February 15, 1945, she married William Franklin Allen in Dallas. She was formerly employed as a baker. Geneva lived at Lake Tawakoni prior to moving to Linden. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, watching westerns and spending time with her family. Geneva was a former member of the Lake Tawakoni Church of Christ and later a member at the Linden Church of Christ.

Geneva is survived by a son, Wesley Franklin Allen & wife, Cynthia; daughter, Dari Joyce Money & husband, Bob; six grandsons, Allen Henderson, Wendell Allen & wife, Markie, Bill Money, Steve Money & wife, Joyce, Robert Money & wife, Dolly and Jimmy Money; four granddaughters, Dari Cabesuela & husband, Phil, Diana Dodson & husband, Gary, Kristina Bruce & husband, Daniel and Robin Carr & husband, Hans; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and twenty-six great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
