Funeral services for Georgetta Marie Lovell, 91, of Wills Point are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Elwood Missionary Baptist Church north of Wills Point with Bro. Billy Smith and Bro. Ed Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Woodall Cemetery north of Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Monday night, April 27, 2015, at Crestwood Nursing Home in Wills Point.
Georgetta was born August 10, 1923, in Wills Point, the daughter, of Jessie Bryant Jackson and Sallie May Kay Jackson. She was raised in the Elwood Community and graduated from Wills Point High School. On June 8, 1941, she married S.L. "Dan" Lovell near Wills Point. Georgetta was formerly employed by Malouf Manufacturing Company and Terrell State Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, working in her garden and yard. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. Georgetta was a faithful member of Elwood Missionary Baptist Church for the past seventy-five years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jessie & Sallie May Jackson; husband, Dan Lovell; son, Michael Dan Lovell; sister, Janice Holcomb and a brother, J.T. "Sonny" Jackson.
Georgetta is survived by a son, Paul Lovell & wife, Elizabeth, of Wills Point; two daughters, Dianna Perry & husband, Ed, of Rockwall and Barbara Clower & husband, Jerry, of Wills Point; sister-in-law, Jewell Jackson, of Wills Point; five grandchildren, Russell Truett & wife, Amy, of Rockwall, Angela Duzan & husband, Tim, of Rockwall, Robby Clower & wife, Bridget, of Rockwall, Chris Lovell & wife, Candice, of Wills Point and Kelly Sabella & husband, David, of Wills Point; ten great-grandchildren, Hanna Truett, Kailee Duzan, Kaden Duzan, Montana Lovell, Daniel Lovell, Makenzie Lovell, Tyler Hooten, Taylor Hooten, Ava Clower and Catherine Sabella.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
