Gerald Don Clemmons passed away on May 13, 2025, in Corsicana, Texas. He was born on August 28, 1937, in Wills Point, Texas, to Robert Lee and Lilla Mae Clemmons.
On June 1, 1956, Gerald married Annette Hodge in Wills Point. Gerald and Annette were both graduates of Wills Point Hight School class of 1955 and 1956 respectively. They shared a devoted marriage until her passing on February 20, 2021. Together, they raised two daughters, Donna Milligan and Lesa Goins.
Gerald began his professional life in the insurance industry with Gulf Life Insurance before transitioning to a career with Mobil Pipeline Company, where his work took him across Texas, California, and even as far as Saudi Arabia. He retired in 1984 after years of dedicated service.
A man of many interests, Gerald enjoyed reading, gardening, collecting salt and pepper shakers and spending time at their hill country vacation home in Concan, Texas. He was a proud member of the Masonic Fraternity and lived his faith through active participation in the Methodist Church, attending First Methodist of Corsicana and previously Russell Memorial Methodist Church.
He was known for his loving nature, unwavering loyalty, and a touch of sarcasm that endeared him to those around him. His love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was immeasurable.
Gerald is survived by his daughters; Lesa's husband Atwell C Goins, four grandchildren: Atwell Goins Jr., Clayton Goins, LeAnne Klepacz and Mary Fondren; and Eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Wills Point, Texas. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
