Geraldine Brady, affectionately known as Deannie, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in Athens, Texas. Born on April 25, 1941, in Howard, New York, Geraldine’s life was marked by unwavering dedication to her family, her community, and her many talents.
A proud graduate of Avoca Central High School in New York, Geraldine embarked on a career as a self-employed professional in the fields of medical billing and accounting. Her work reflected the same meticulous care and grace for which she was known in every aspect of her life. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Geraldine was a woman of remarkable charm and creativity. She was a fantastic decorator, a fashionista who loved everything beautiful, and a multi-talented individual with a passion for baking and organic gardening.
Geraldine’s personality was remembered as sweet and selfless, a magnificent lady who was the best mother anyone could hope for. She held a special gift for bringing people together and loved to host events for family and friends, creating warm gatherings filled with laughter and joy.
Her marriage to her beloved husband, Patrick Brady, began on April 23, 1961, in Las Vegas. Their partnership spanned over six decades until Patrick’s passing on April 14, 2024. The bond they shared was a foundation of love and support that shaped Geraldine’s life and the lives of those around her.
Geraldine is survived by her loving son Alan; her daughters Krystal, Patricia, and husband Dan; her cherished grandchildren, who referred to her as "Glamma": Janine, Chelsey and her husband Bryan, Annaliese and husband Trey, Celine, Noah, and Joy; and her adored great-grandchildren Jaxson, Dalton, and Eliana. She also leaves behind her twin brother Jake and his wife Pat, and her sister Maggie, who will forever carry her memory close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Brady; her parents, Homer Coots and Pearl Dye Coots; and twelve siblings, whose memories remain intertwine
d with hers in the tapestry of family.
Geraldine Brady’s life was a testament to kindness, creativity, and love. Her legacy endures in the hearts of her family and friends, who remember her as a magnificent lady whose sweetness and selflessness touched all who knew her.
