Funeral services for Harold Bryant Sanders, 80, of Ben Wheeler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point with Pastor Larry Shackleford officiating.
He passed away early Tuesday morning, September 26, 2017 at his residence in Ben Wheeler.
Harold was born on October 31, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Jackson Raymond Sanders and Mary Evelyn Meggs Sanders. He was raised in Seagoville, where he attended public school. Harold was a veteran of the United States Army. On February 4, 1961, he married Sharlie Coleman near Dallas. Harold was a brick mason, roofer and also built fences, retiring in 2002. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his garden He lived in Dallas prior to moving to Ben Wheeler in 1968. Harold was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by his father, Jackson Sanders; mother, Mary Sanders Sparks; brother; sister; son and two great grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his wife, Sharlie Sanders, of Ben Wheeler; three daughters, Beth Kifer, of Ben Wheeler, Mary Johnson, of Ben Wheeler and Peggy Lynn Sanders, of Ben Wheeler; brother, Donald Lewis Sanders, of Ben Wheeler; seven grandchildren, Wylie Mayne, Sharon Johnston, Joey Johnston, Bobbie Baker, Jamie Kifer, Terri McMillan and Kristin Rogers; eighteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
