Harold Wayne Sprague, 68, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Wills Point. Born on March 12, 1957, in Grand Saline, Texas, Harold was raised in Wills Point and remained deeply rooted in the community throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Wills Point High School's Class of 1975, Harold began his working years at Brookshires Grocery in Wills Point. He later dedicated many years to Madix and the metal fabricating industry, where he built a reputation for his strong work ethic and reliability.

On June 30, 1978, Harold married Angelika Marie Cooper at the Methodist Church in Wills Point. Their union was one of enduring love and partnership until her passing. Together they built a family that brought them great joy and pride.

Harold is lovingly remembered by his children: sons Jeffrey Dwayne Sprague and his wife Cayci, Warren Wayne Sprague; and daughter Andrea Lauren Sprague Whitaker. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Piper Lauren Whitaker, Matthew Sprague, Brandon Sprague, Waylon Sprague, Cove English, and River Sprague. He is also survived by his brother Gary Sprague.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Angelika Cooper Sprague; his parents Harold Mac Sprague and Virginia Ann Hay; niece Jessica Sprague; paternal grandparents Bill and Mammie Sprague; and maternal grandparents Oscar and Ruby Hay.

Harold found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved being outdoors—watching deer graze at dusk, listening to birdsong at dawn, or admiring the beauty of a Texas sunset. Gardening brought him quiet satisfaction, while fishing offered moments of reflection and fun. He was known for grilling with skill and enthusiasm—often surrounded by family whose laughter filled the air. Time spent with his grandchildren was especially dear to him.

Those who knew Harold will remember him as funny, wise, and kind—a man whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around him. His Christian faith guided him throughout life's journey.
