Funeral services for Helen Morris, 81, of Terrell, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. Tim Mabe officiating.
She passed away early Monday morning, June 6, 2016, in Terrell.
Helen was born March 11, 1935, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charlie Coleman Coffman and Fern Pauline Bodkin. She was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma and in 1953, she graduated from Shawnee High School. In 1977, she married Billy Morris in Kaufman. Helen was formerly employed by the Dairy Maiden in Wills Point and in 1987, she retired from Pilgrim Self Storage in Richardson, where she was a bookkeeper for ten years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing. Helen loved her family very much especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church south of Wills Point.
Preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Fern Coffman; husband, Billy Morris on July 14, 1988; brother, Douglas Coffman and three sisters, Juanita Nabors, Wanda Able and Peggy Lofton;
Helen is survived by two daughters, Sherry Roberts & husband, Charles, of Forney and Norma Jenny Helton, of Dallas; son, Brian Parsons, Jr, of Wills Point; two brothers, James Coffman, of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Charles Coffman & wife, Linda, of Edmond, Oklahoma; four sisters, Genevieve Lucas, of Wylie, Patty Robertson, of Rimrock, Arizona, Arlene Atterberry & husband, Gene, of Terrell and Sherrell Formanski & husband, David, of Wills Point; five grandchildren, Stacy Miller & husband, Keith, of Plano, Marcy Roberts, of Dallas, Kymberly Sangalang & husband, Terry, of Holiday, Florida, Rena Helton, of Dallas and Scott Helton & wife, Rachel, of Beaumont; three great-grandchildren, Elias Rettmeier, of Plano, Sophia Miller, of Plano and Alexis Helton, of Beaumont; three step-great-grandsons, Daniel Silvas, of Beaumont, Matthew Silvas, of Beaumont and Kylan Place, of Beaumont; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
