Henry "Bob" Robert Holt, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Terrell, Texas, on January 3, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on December 31, 1929, in Leesville, Louisiana, he was the son of Henry R. Holt, Sr., and Harriett Jane Avard.

Bob spent his early years in Leesville, carrying the values of hard work and ingenuity throughout his life. A proud United States Army veteran, he served his country from February 1951 to January 1953. On July 24, 1954, he married Norma Ellen Hendley Holt, with whom he shared over 70 years of love and partnership. Together, they built a life centered on family and cherished memories. Bob was a successful business owner and a well-respected member of the business community. He owned four companies in the paper and aluminum recycling industry, his passion. Two of these companies were located in San Antonio and two in Austin.

A longtime member of the Rockwell & Brin Church of Christ in Terrell, Texas. Bob was admired for his industrious spirit and Cajun charm. He found joy in simple pleasures such as playing dominoes and card games like 42 and spades. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and traveling but especially treasured time spent by the river with his Brother-in-law Dan.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Norma Ellen Hendley Holt; daughters Trina Lynn Holt Schrah and husband Frank of Denison and Pamela Jo Holt Toups of San Antonio; grandchildren Kimberly Denise Ward, Billy Wayne Huffstetler, Christopher Andrew Huffstetler, Achaisha Denee Hudson, and Stormy Ellen Toups; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Tom Livingston; and sisters Lucy Moore and Mary Shelton.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life is scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rockwall & Brin Church of Christ located at 407 N Rockwall Ave. Terrell, TX.

Bob's legacy is one of love for family and an appreciation for life's adventures. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
