Memorial service for Hollis Raymond "Ray" Smith, II, 62, of Canton, formerly of Wills Point, is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Ronnie Daniell officiating.

He passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 7, 2019, at Canton Oaks Nursing Home surrounded by his family.

Ray was born December 7, 1956, in Wills Point, the son of Hollis Raymond Smith, Sr. and Jackie Wathena Goodman Smith.  He was raised in Wills Point and was a graduate of Wills Point High School in 1975.  Ray was a carpenter by trade and was great at anything he put his mind to.  He and Lynne had been together since September 6, 1993 and on October 2, 2003, they were married.  Ray lived in Wills Point prior to moving to Canton in 1981.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, dominoes and pool.  Ray was a member of the Wills Point Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Jackie Smith and two sisters, Deborah Lorraine Alexander and Alicia Wilson.

Ray is survived by his wife, Lynne Pierce-Smith, of Canton; two sons, Jason Groom & wife, Hollie and Adam Smith & wife, Courtney; two daughters, Holly Lynne Patterson & husband, Kelon and Rianna Lynne Brite & husband, Bobby; brother, Dennis Smith & wife, Nancy; sister, Mendy Renz; four grandsons; seven granddaughters; two great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to funeral service.
