Obituary

Graveside service for James Earl Boothe, Sr., 82, of Quitman, formerly of Edgewood, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood with Bro. Bryan H. Boothe officiating.  Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
He passed away Monday night, April 22, 2019, at his residence, due to a house fire.
James Earl was born February 24, 1937, in Edgewood, the son of Addie Walton Boothe and Edna Olive Johnson Boothe.  He was raised in Edgewood and was a graduate of Edgewood High School in 1955.  James proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after twenty-two years of service.  He lived in Walla Walla, Washington prior to moving to Quitman in 2002.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football especially the Dallas Cowboy's and the Edgewood High School football team.
Preceded in death by his parents, Addie and Edna Boothe; brother, brother-in-law and a nephew.
James is survived by a son, James E. Boothe, Jr., of Lawton, Oklahoma; daughter, Dona Treonne Perkins, of Lawton, Oklahoma; brother, Brian "Buddy" Thomas Boothe & wife, Helen, of Wills Point; two sisters, Martha Carter, of Edgewood and Glenda Forrister, of Cedartown, Georgia; four grandchildren, Andrew Boothe, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Adrienne Monetathchi, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Phoenix Monetathchi, of Lawton, Oklahoma and Joey Monetathchi, of Lawton, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews.
