Funeral services for James Keith Flowers, 71, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Rod Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
He passed away early Tuesday morning, January 23, 2018, in Wills Point.
James was born on July 10, 1946, in Austin, Texas, the son of James Wilson Flowers and Florence Eugene Foster Flowers. He was raised in Dallas, where he attended public school. On April 11, 1981, he married Jerri Lynne Moore in Lewisville. James was formerly employed by Cherry Air in Dallas as a welder, retiring in 2011. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, country dancing and camping. He lived in Keller prior to moving to Wills Point thirty-seven years ago. James was a member of Family Cathedral of Praise in Mesquite.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jerri Lynne Flowers on May 9, 2016 and a son, Jimmy Flowers, Jr.
James is survived by two sons, Ricky Flowers & wife, Mary, of Wills Point and David Moore, of Tyler; two daughters, Kathy Zacca & husband, Shaun, of Cross Roads and Traci Davis, of Wills Point; brother, Ted Flowers & wife, Angie, of Highland Village; sister, Charlotte Jacobus, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, Daniel Zacca, Katrina Zacca, Kaitlyn Zacca, Chance Beck, April de la Fuente, James Flowers, III, Adam Davis, Dustin Davis, Kristen Davis, Chris Olsen, Ricky Flowers, Jr., Amber Flowers, Melissa Flowers and Megan Flowers; nine great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Zacca, Logan Zacca, Maci Zacca, Zayden de la Fuente, Vaida de la Fuente, Olivia Zimmerman, Natalie Nicole Flowers, Peyton Davis and Cayleigh Davis.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to funeral service.
