James Coleman Sledge, 67, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on September 10, 2024. Born on September 3, 1957, in Moore County, Texas, he was a son to the late William Roy Sledge and Martha Lillian Racker Sledge.

James attended high school in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a self-employed scrapper known for his passion for collecting old cars, water heaters, window units, and more. His joy in life extended to bargaining with customers, a testament to his love for interaction and negotiation.

He leaves behind his special friend, Amy Del Toro, who he considered family, and his "boys," Jairo Del Toro and Jayden Del Toro, all of Wills Point. He is also survived by his brother, Dewayne Sledge, and sisters, Patricia Teeling, Pamela McClung, Paula Maness, and Peggy Allgood.

James was preceded in death by his father, William Roy Sledge, and his mother, Martha Lillian Racker Sledge.

A gathering will be held to remember James on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 12:00 noon at 436 VZ County Road 3447, Wills Point.
