James Harvey Youngblood, 84 of Wills Point, Texas passed away on January 19, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. James was born on September 6, 1938, to David and Lucille Youngblood in Wills Point, Texas.

James lived his entire life in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School. He was of the Baptist faith. James married his wife Carolyn Illingworth on November 22, 1980, in Dallas, Texas. He had a passion for sports and loved his family. He enjoyed watching the Cowboys and Texas Longhorns.

James is preceded in death by his parents Dave and Lucille Youngblood; wife Carolyn Youngblood; grandson Jeffrey Youngblood; great-granddaughter Emma Turner and other family siblings Dink Youngblood, Goldie Richards, Charlotte Youngblood and Betty Edwards.

James leaves behind his son Scott Youngblood; daughter Tammi Samons, Kimberly Hodges, and Alisa Youngblood; grandchildren, Cristopher Samons and Kelli Turner; great-grandchildren, Amelia Samons, Jake Turner, Luke Turner, Avery Samons, and Bailey Turner; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
