Funeral services for Anna Jean Allred, 89, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor David Cartwright officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
She passed away early Monday morning, May 22, 2017, in Wills Point.
Jean was born March 13, 1928, in Wills Point, the daughter of Carl Russell Curtis and Henrietta Lindhorst Curtis. She was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1944. She also graduated from T.C.U. and T.W.U., where she received her Master's Degree. Jean was married to William Benjamin Wright, Jr. and later married William Ike Allred. She was formerly employed as a drug counselor by the State of Texas in Dallas, retiring in 1990 at the age of sixty-two. She enjoyed reading, playing games on the computer, traveling and taking care of her dog, Cinnamon. Jean was a member of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Henrietta Curtis; two husbands, William Benjamin Wright, Jr. and William Ike Allred and a sister, Mary Horton Beach.
Jean is survived by three sons, Michael Wright, of Greece, Terry Wright & wife, Linda, of Bossier City, Louisiana and Brian Wright & wife, Kay, of Rowlett; five grandchildren, Shannon Wright & wife, Cheryl, Brad Wright, Wade Wright, Jessica Dye and Erica Kinsella & husband, Andrew and five great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
