Jeannie Overton, of Galveston, TX, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the age of 71.

Jeannie was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Bonita and Gene Stonecypher on May 4, 1949. Jeannie was a resident of Greenville for many years, moving to Galvaston one year ago. She spent her younger years in Birmingham moving to Grand Prairie at the age of 16. Jeannie spent most of her teaching years at Dallas ISD, retiring from Phoenix Center School in Greenville. Jeannie enjoyed crafts, taking care of kiddos, being at the ocean and was known to be an excellent cook.

To cherish her memories, Jeannie leaves behind her daughters, Jennifer Michelle Overton and Kelly Diane Dehart; siblings Catherine Elaine Perkins, Timothy Eugene Stonecypher, Mark Randall Sutter, Melanie Yvonne Pittman and Madeleine Renee Kinsel; three grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Roy Stonecypher; grandparents Roy Stonecypher and Flora Marie Smith and Lewis C Bates and Gladys Rachael Nicholson.

A Funeral service will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Allan Fuller Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Wills Point, Texas. Online condolences may be left at allanfullerfuneralhome.com.
