Memorial service for Jerry Thompson, 68, of Edgewood, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Crossroads Church in Canton by the pond with Pastor Mark Robinson officiating. Arrangements were made by Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
He passed away early Wednesday morning, April 25, 2018, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
Jerry was born February 4, 1950, in Henrietta, Oklahoma, the son of Edward Brown Thompson and Mamie Jean Harbison Thompson. He was raised in Henrietta, where he attended public school. Jerry was formerly employed as a truck driver for Easley's Trucking in Ben Wheeler, retiring in 2006 due to his health. After retirement, he moved to Edgewood twelve years ago. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and being around people. Jerry was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mamie Thompson and two grandsons, Joshua Cawthon and Christian David Wesley Cawthon.
Jerry is survived by his son, John Thompson & wife, Lesley, of Yukon, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Nancy Huddleston and Lisa McKenna; two brothers, Ed Sunny Thompson, of Eastland and Dale Thompson, of Shawnee, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Kody Thompson and Kelly Thompson.
