Jewelle Jackson, 90, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away Monday morning, August 30, 2021, in Mabank, Texas.

Jewelle was born October 17, 1930, in Edgewood, Texas to the late Aude M. McWilliams and Velma Valentine McWilliams.  She was raised in Edgewood, but lived most of her life in Wills Point.  Jewelle was married to Jesse T. Jackson on October 14, 1947 in Wills Point.  She was employed by Malouf Manufacturing as a seamstress for 40 years, retiring in 1992. Jewelle was a member of the New Release Fellowship Baptist Church.

Jewelle is survived by her three daughters, Velma Himes & husband, Ronnie, of Gun Barrel City, Sharon Jackson, of Forney and Teresa Jackson, of Wills Point; two grandchildren, Travis Ulmen & wife, Becky and Jess Gunter & wife, Lauren; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Ulmen, Drake Cross and Blaine Basham.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.T. Jackson on November 25, 2008; daughter-in-law, Jill Ulmen; brother, James McWilliams and sister, Hazel McEnturff.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at New Release Fellowship Baptist Church in Wills Point.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
