Jimmie Alan Owens, 70, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1954, in Dallas, Texas. Jimmie was a loving, selfless, and gentle man who touched the lives of those around him.

Jimmie is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Cober Owens, his son James Brian Owens, his daughter Kelly Marie Owens, his brother Ricky Gilreath, and his two grandchildren, Jason Owens and Vanellope Owens.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, James Alvoy Owens, his mother, Dollie Fouse, his step-father Roy Gilreath, his mother-in-law, Virginia Cober, his father-in-law, Walter Cober, and his grandparents, Mary Ann Owens and Lonnie and Josie Lucky.

Jimmie graduated from WW Samuel High School as part of the Class of 1972 and furthered his education at the University of Texas at Arlington. He went on to have a successful career as a Maintenance Engineer with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) in Dallas, Texas, from where he retired.

Outside of his professional life, Jimmie had a variety of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed cooking, mechanics, technology, and wildlife conservation. These passions brought him joy and fulfillment throughout his life.
