Visitation service for Jimmy Alex Buckley, 75, of Wills Point, is scheduled for 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. Interment will be Tuesday morning at Myrtle Springs Cemetery south of Wills Point.
He passed away early Friday morning, February 5, 2016 at his home.
Jimmy was born on May 5, 1940, in Wills Point, Texas, the son of William Alex Buckley and Independence Sockwell Buckley. He was raised north of Wills Point near the Alsa Community and attended the Wills Point schools. On October 22, 1989, he married Jacquelyn F. Waymire in Wills Point. Jimmy was formerly employed by T.I in Dallas, Safeway in Dallas where he was a meat cutter and also the Wills Point Locker Plant. He enjoyed wood working most of his life and making wood cabinets. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by his parents, William Alex and Independence Buckley; brother, William "Bill" Buckley; step-son, Dusty Waymire; sister, Louise Richardson and a nephew, Randy Buckley.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Buckley, of Wills Point; two step-sons, Danny Waymire & wife, Karen, of Wills Point and Darrin Waymire, of Wills Point; step-daughter, Donna Waymire, of Wills Point; two sisters, Sue Ross, of Canton and Mary Goggans, of Wills Point; sister-in-law, Carol Robertson, of Almo, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Carey Robertson, of Wills Point; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and one great-niece, Tori Goggans.
