Jimmy Don Jones, 67, of Edgewood, formerly of Fruitvale, passed away on Friday night, September 14, 2018 in Tyler. Interment will be at College Mound Cemetery in Terrell. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Jimmy Don was born September 17, 1950, in Grand Saline, the son of Jim Hamilton Jones and Essie Mae Johnson Jones. He was raised in Edgewood and Fruitvale, where he attended public school. Jimmy was formerly employed as a truck driver for Southeastern Carriers until his health failed. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going out to eat and spending time with family and friends. Jimmy was a member of New Journey Church of God in Edgewood.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Essie Mae Jones; wife, Debbie Honeycutt Jones on September 3, 2015; brother, E.L. "Sonny" Jones and two sisters, Barbara Norden and Betty Hardin.
Jimmy is survived by a son, James Jones & wife, Staci, of Fruitvale; two brothers, Wayne Jones, of Arlington and Raymond Jones & wife, Ruby, of Fruitvale; two sisters, Wanda Roberts, of Kilgore and Linda Ramm, of Frisco; grandson, Thomas Anthony Hahn, of Fruitvale; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
