Funeral services for Jimmy Carroll Miller, 78, of Royse City, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Mr. Russell Harris officiating.

He passed away early Saturday morning, May 6, 2017, at his residence in Royse City.

Jimmy was born October 26, 1938, in Morrilton, Arkansas, the son of Marion Patton Miller and Mildred Camille Sorrels Miller. He was raised in Pleasant Grove and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1957. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he was self-employed in commercial construction. On May 29, 1984, he married Juana Gail Yarbrough Strain in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jimmy lived in Dallas prior to moving to Royse City fifteen years ago. He enjoyed working and taking care of his animals. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Mildred Miller and a son, Ricky Miller.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Gail Miller, of Royse City; step-son, Doug Strain, of Royse City; step-daughter, Sherry Bates & husband, Ralph, of Frisco; brother, Gary Miller & wife, Vicki, of Rockwall; sister, Brenda England & husband, David, of Wills Point; five grandchildren, Ryleigh Bates, Trevor Bates, Taylor Bates, Sean Mathney and Tiffany Kheao and five great-grandchildren, Maddison, McKenzie, Addison, Morgan and Trevor.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
