Obituary

Funeral services for Jimmy Louis Weatherford, 83, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. Joe Parker and Bro. Cory Williams officiating.  Interment will follow at Creagleville Cemetery near Grand Saline.
He passed away Thursday evening, July 25, 2019, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Sunnyvale.
Jimmy was born December 3, 1935, in Van Alstyne, the son of Lillis Columbus Weatherford, Sr. and Beulah Rebecca Dhane Weatherford.  He was raised in Chillicothe and Crowell.  On June 11, 1956, he married Oma Jean Meyer in Mesquite.  Jimmy was formerly employed as a heavy equipment operator and later a foreman for Cullum Construction in Dallas for forty-two years, retiring in February 1997.  He enjoyed rebuilding lawn mowers and other small engines.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, teaching them to love each other and be there for one another.  Jimmy was a member of Spence Park Baptist Church in Balch Springs.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lillis and Beulah Weatherford; wife, Oma Jean Weatherford; two brothers, Carlee Weatherford and Jack Weatherford; two daughters, Carrie Rebecca Weatherford and Trina Gail Weatherford and a son, Ricky Lee Weatherford.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Robert Louis Weatherford & wife, Linda, of Sulphur, Oklahoma; three daughters, Jimmie Lynn Weatherford, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Carolyn Ann Parker & husband, James, of Wills Point and Joan Denise Belknap & husband, Sam, of Petrolia; brother, L.C. Weatherford, Jr., of Celina; two sisters, Margaret Barron, of Van Alstyne and Maryann Fuller, of Durant, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Kenny Cockrill and Aimmie Cockrill, both of Dallas, Elizabeth Teague & husband, Joe, of Sallisaw, OK, A.J. Belknap & wife, Evelyn, of Sallisaw, OK, Brittany Hawkins & husband, Nick, of Ft. Smith AR, Joe Parker & wife, Melissa, of Elmo, Robert Parker & wife, Brandy, of Midlothian, Nicholas Vineyard & wife, Heather, of Colbert, OK, Oleta Weatherford, of Modesto, California, Rylie Weatherford, of Sulphur, Oklahoma and Rusty Belknap, of Petrolia and numerous great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
