Obituary

Funeral services for Jimmy Darrell Williams, 69, of Powderly, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Jerry McDowell and Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

He passed away Friday afternoon, January 15, 2016.

Jimmy was born November 5, 1946, in Meridian, Texas, the son of Melvin Murray Williams and Mary Barnes Williams. He was raised in the Cleburne area and attended Rio Vista High School. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during Vietnam. On August 23, 1984, he married Elaine Edwards in Rockwall. Jimmy was formerly employed by Safeway in Garland, Cabell's Dairy in Dallas and Borden Dairy in West Monroe, Louisiana, LaFayette, Louisiana and in Dallas. He retired from Borden Dairy in 2009, after forty-one years in the dairy business. He lived in Abbeville, Louisiana prior to moving to Powderly six years ago. Jimmy enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and was an avid UT sports fan. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mary Williams.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Elaine Williams, of Powderly; son, Melvin Darell Williams & wife, Trina, of Hondo; three daughters, Kaye Bushdiecker & late husband, Kevin, of Sunnyvale, Carolyn Cook & husband, Randy, of Hector, Arkansas and Toni Duvall & husband, Larry, of Atkins, Arkansas; sister, Jeannie Camp & husband, Luther, of Kopperl; thirteen grandchildren, Rachel, Trinaty and Cole Williams, Brandee Gagalino, David and Donnie Bushdiecker, Justin, Samuel and Emily Cook, Cameron and Lindsey Thacker, Ashley and Dalton Duvall; five great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday two hours prior to service.
