Jo Maree Ellis Herrington, of Plano, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the age of 89.

Jo was born on October 14, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to the late Joseph and Minnie Ellis. Jo was of the Methodist faith. She worked at First City Bank, Northpark Bank and CoMerica where she retired after almost 30 years. Jo enjoyed reading, playing bridge and traveling.

To cherish her memories, Jo leaves behind her son Russell K Brown and wife Karen of San Marcos; daughters, Lesley K Hancock and husband Michael of McKinney and Christy Herrington of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Justin Brown, Kathleen Brown and Hannah Brown; great grandchild Mason Brown.

Jo is preceded in death by her mother Minnie Ola Threatt, father Joseph Jeter Ellis and brother Norman Ellis.

Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be made at allanfullerfuneralhome.com.
