Funeral services for John Joseph Palmer, Jr., 69, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Frank Corry officiating.
He passed away Friday afternoon, July 3, 2015, in Wills Point.
John was born on October 28, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of John Joseph Palmer, Sr. and Margaret Ruth Sheldon Palmer. He attended Millvale High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On October 27, 1990, he married Diane Jensen in Lewisville. John retired from Spec Wheels of Forney. He enjoyed collecting eagles and model trains. John loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. He lived in Lewisville prior to moving to Wills Point in 1991. John was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by his parents, John & Margaret Palmer; sister, Anna Bea Bryant; two brothers-in-law, Pete Pribila and Butch Jensen; sister-in-law, Gloria Aguilar and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don & Selma Jensen.
John is survived by his wife, Diane Palmer, of Wills Point; three sons, John Joseph Palmer, III & wife, Michele, of Pittsburgh, PA, Bradley Paul Palmer & wife, Valarie, of Midwest City, OK and Steven Carl Palmer & wife, Ann, of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Jacqueline Pribila, of Pittsburgh, PA and Sylvia Palmer, of Pittsburgh, PA; six grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Cierra, Aiden, Kacey and Garran and his dog, Raven Nicole.
Honorary pallbearers: Justin Palmer, Dalton "Dakota" Roberts, Michael Harrison, Cameron Harrison, Charles Smith, Paul Pribila and Rohbert Hemmer
Memorials may be made to the family, Vitas Hospice or cancer research.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. prior to service.
