JOHN CHRISTOPHER SHAW, age 58, passed away on April 7, 2025, in Denison, Texas. Born on June 15, 1966, in Wills Point, Texas, he was a proud Texan throughout his life.

Chris graduated from South Garland High School with the Class of 1984. His years there laid the foundation for a life filled with energy, warmth, and connection. He was known among those who knew him as loving, funny, kind, selfless, spirited, gentle, and optimistic—qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Chris had a deep appreciation for music and dancing. Whether enjoying a favorite tune or moving to the rhythm with joy and abandon, these passions brought him happiness and allowed him to share that joy with others. He also enjoyed bowling—a pastime that reflected his fun-loving spirit and love of camaraderie.

He was a man of faith and worshipped in the Baptist tradition. His beliefs were reflected in his generous heart and unwavering kindness toward others.

Chris is remembered by his brother James Shaw; two other brothers; one sister; one half-sister; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Roy Shaw and Shirley Ann Langford Shaw, as well as one brother.

Interment arrangements are currently pending.
