Obituary

Johnny C. Decker, 91, of Terrell, Texas passed away on June 3, 2023, in Bedford, Texas.

Johnny was born in Roscoe, Texas to a late Elmer and Nellie Decker. He was raised in many towns in west Texas later moved to Terrell, Texas where he married Patsy Marie Hodges in 1948. She preceded him in death in December 2006.

Johnny enlisted in the United States Airforce from 1951 - 1956. He served in the Korean War.

Johnny later married Patricia Ann Conway in 2008 at the Bright Star Baptist Church in Wills Point, Texas where they lived for the last 12 years where she preceded him in death in February 2020.  His favorite hobbies in life were to fish at his fishing pond at his house and woodworking. His favorite place was at Buena Vista, Colorado and made it an annual trip.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pat Decker; son, Johnny Dwayne Decker; first wife, Patsy Marie Hodges Decker and second wife, Patricia Ann Conway Decker; brother-in-law Edward Wooten; grandson, Jason Herman.

Johnny leaves behind one son, Donovan Boisselle, wife, Sheila; one daughter Diana Statzula and husband Joe; two brothers, Robert Decker and wife, Goldie; Glen Decker and wife, Laura; two sisters, Patricia Jane Decker Wooten, Sheryl Lynn Koury and husband, Mason; one sister-in-law Claudine Decker.  Seven grandchildren, Aliya Boisselle, Marlee Boiselle, Ryan Gunn, Jordan Gunn, Courtney Shuman, Robby Witt and Chris Statzula. Eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Mullin Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Interment will be at Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell, Texas
