Jorge Alverto Rivas Avila, of Wills Point, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the age of 52.

Jorge was born on December 24, 1968, to Refugio Rivas Flores and Maria Avila Mendez in Muzquiz, Mexico. He and his family moved to Wills Point from Terrell in 2010. Jorge was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed working, fishing, his family and spending time with his grandkids.

To cherish his memories, Jorge leaves behind his wife Sandra Herrera; mother Maria Avila Mendez; son Jorge Rivas and wife Selena Rivas; daughters, Eida Rivas and husband Saul Garcia and Alma Rivas and husband Alin Souvannalath; brother Juan Antonio Rivas Avila; sisters, Martha Rivas, Maria De Refujio and Rosa Elva Rivas; grandchildren, Cassandra, Alessondra, Saul, Andrea, Christian, Messiah, Emilio, Ximena, Xavier and Vivian; and his father in law Juan Herrera.

Jorge is preceded in death by his father Refujio Rivas Flores.

Services will be held, Friday, July 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas. Online condolences may be made at allanfullerfuneralhome.com.
