Jose R. Hernandez, 64, of Wills Point, Texas passed away on December 24, 2021, in Irving, Texas.

Jose was born on April 8, 1957, in San Miguel, El Salvador to Felipe Hernandez and Virginia Cruz Hernandez.  He was raised in El Salvador and was a veteran of the El Salvador Armed Forces.  Jose had been employed as a truck driver, operated heavy machinery and most recently, worked as a self-employed landscaper.  He enjoyed farming, ranching, working with horses and training his dogs.  He moved to Wills Point fifteen years ago and was of the Catholic faith.

Jose is survived by three sons, Felipe Hernandez, of Oklahoma, Jose Mardo Hernandez & wife, Maria, of Wills Point and Pedro Parada & wife, Eugenia Parada from Dallas; two daughters, Silvia Ulloa & husband, Florentino Quintanilla, of Wills Point and Cecelia Hernandez, of Wills Point; girlfriend, Virginia, of Irving; brother, Jose Mauro Hernandez, of El Salvador; sister, Felicita Hernandez, of El Salvador and 8 grandchildren, Angela, Alexander & Alaia Quintanilla, Ricardo, Natalie & Kaylene Hernandez, Pamela & Samantha Parada.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gregoria Hernandez.

Rosary/visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas.
