Jose Ibarra Luna, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at the age of 73.
Jose was born on March 19, 1947 in Corralitos, Zacatecas, Mexico where he also spent his childhood. He was the son of the late Elias Luna+ and Catalina Ibarra+. Jose married Virginia Pina Rosales on February 7, 1968 in Zacatecas, Mexico. They moved to Texas in 1976 arriving in Wills Point in 1979 where he worked for Wills Point Locker Plant for 20 years. He opened Luna's Tamales and worked there until his passing. At home, he enjoyed cooking and spending time with his loved ones. He was known for his humility, his contagious laugh, his way of telling life stories, and for his kindhearted way of helping family and friends. Jose and his wife were founding members of St. Luke's Catholic Church of Wills Point, Texas. He loved his faith. He was active in the Movimiento de Cursillos de Cristiandad for 23 years.
To cherish his memories, he is survived by his beloved wife Virginia Luna; sons, Tiffani and Ramiro Luna of Wills Point, Vicki and Santiago Luna of Wills Point, Patricia and Israel Luna of Kaufman, Olga and Cesar Luna of Little Elm and Rocio and Jose Luna Jr. of Heartland; daughter Melisa and Carlos Charre of Wills Point; sisters Consuelo Luna, Isabel Luna, Antonia Luna, Cruz Luna, Maria Luna, Elena Luna, Elpidia Ibarra, and Guillermo Ibarra+; grandchildren Santiago Luna Jr., Fabian Luna, Jaime Luna, Joseph Luna, Jacob Luna, Abram Luna, Daisy Luna, Matias Luna, Tobias Luna, Faustina Luna, Emma Natalia Luna, Fabiola Luna, Elizabeth Diane Luna, Monica Luna, Adrian Charre and Christian Charre; great-grandchildren Victoria Luna, Andres Luna, Navi Rose Ross and Natalia Ross.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Rosary will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Wills Point at 12 p.m. Service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be held at White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point, Texas following the service.

Su funeral se llevará a cabo el miércoles 20 de enero de 2021 en Allan Fuller Funeral Home de 9 a.m. a 11 a.m. El rosario se llevará a cabo el miércoles 20 de enero 2021 en la Iglesia Católica de San Lucas de Wills Point a las 12 p.m. seguido de la celebración de la Misa de cuerpo presente a la 1 p.m. El sepelio será en el Cementerio White Rose de Wills Point, Texas después de la Santa Misa.
