Juan Herrera-Ortiz, 71 of Wills Point, Texas passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, in Forney, Texas.

He was born on April 24, 1951, to the late Manuel Herrera Luna and Alicia Ortiz in Melchor Muzquiz Coahuila. He moved to Wills Point from Terrell. He was married to his late wife Alma Rosa Gomez Jelez. He was of the Catholic faith. Juan enjoyed dancing, working with horses, and selling things at the flea markets.

Juan is preceded in death by his parents and wife Rogelio Herrera.

Juan is survived by his sons Jose Adrian Herrera Gomez and Miguel Guadalupe Herrera Gomez; daughter Sandra Patricia Herrera Gomez; brothers, Jose Herrera, Rual Herrera and Antonio Herrera; sisters, Maria Alicia Herrera and Maria del Jesus Herrera; grandchildren, Adriana Herrera, Ada Herrera, Fernanda Herrera, Joel Herrera, Miguel Herrera, Paola Herrera, Jenifer Herrera, Alma Rivas, Jorge Rivas and Eida Rivas; and 16 great-grandchildren.
