Kim
Allen
January 19, 1954 – January 13, 2026
Kim Allen was born on January 19, 1954, in Athens, Texas, and passed away on January 13,
2026, in Mabank, Texas. Her life was rooted in East Texas, where she lived a life devoted to her
family and friends, enjoying her award-winning yard and the friends she blessed along life's
way.
Raised in Mabank, Kim graduated from Mabank High School in 1972. Later, she continued
her education at Henderson County Junior College while raising her family. In her professional
life, she was known for her keen attention to detail and work ethic. Years of dedication and
hard work made her a familiar face and trusted presence in those communities.
Kim was known for her vibrant personality: thoughtful and sincere, sassy and quick-witted,
while maintaining a servant's heart and a firm yet loving demeanor that made her the ultimate
Mother to her Sons. Kim's greatest joy was her boys, the subject of many stories she would
share with anyone and everyone she had the chance to encounter. As a Mom, she walked the
line of loving and nurturing her boys when needed, while preparing them to be Men of whom
she could be proud.
Terry Henderson, her true love, was by her side, raising their Sons. Shannon Wayne
Henderson of St. Petersburg, Florida, Corey Gene Henderson and spouse, Ameya Ghate, and
Zachary Keith Henderson, all of Mabank. She also leaves behind a granddaughter, Cambrie
Marie Henderson, a sister, Kasey Millender, a cousin, Rhonda Hemby, and her most cherished
uncle, David Burnes. Niece Rachel Millender Williford and nephew John Tanner Allen both
enjoyed a relationship with their "Bo" that provided an unconditional love, unwavering support,
and loudest cheerleader.
Kim celebrated the women in her life and cherished the close bonds she found with them,
maintaining these throughout her life. She found special kindred spirits in chosen Sisters
Shelba Estep, Charlotte Frederick, and Diane Bonsal. Her marriage to Terry blessed her with a
large extended family, a source of great pride to her.
Kim is preceded in death by parents, Wayne and Joe Lee Allen, sister Barbara Hamilton, and
favorite Aunt Helen Haven.
A woman of many passions, Kim found joy in the simple pleasures of her flower gardens,
good coffee, the Christmas season, and playing cards with friends.
May Kim's memory bring comfort to those who knew her best. Her legacy lives on through
the lives she touched with grace, humor, strength, and love.
Kim's life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, by family and her most intimate
friends. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to remember Kim to make
contributions to a charity that celebrates and benefits Women in the community.
