Lillian Ruth "Ruthie" Criswell, 71, passed away on May 27, 2025, in Richardson, Texas. Born on November 28, 1953, in Arkansas City, Kansas, she was raised in Sunnyvale, Texas, where her vibrant spirit and strong work ethic began to take root.

Ruthie dedicated much of her professional life to the skilled trade of sheet metal work. She brought diligence and precision to her roles at Humanetics II and R & R Design, earning the respect of colleagues through her commitment and craftsmanship. Her career reflected not only her technical abilities but also her determination and resilience—qualities that defined her throughout her life.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Ruthie found her greatest joy in family. She is lovingly remembered by her sons: Louis Dee Criswell and his wife Jana, Christopher David Criswell, Robert Aaron Criswell, and Kerry Lynne Criswell. Her legacy continues through eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who brought immense pride and happiness into her life. Ruthie's love for them was boundless; she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is also remembered by her brother Billy Ellis and sister Beth Pollard. Ruthie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Louis David Criswell; her parents Frank and Beulah Ellis; and her brother Johnny Ellis.

Ruthie had a lively personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan—never missing a game—and could often be found cheering passionately for her team. But above all else, she loved being surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May it bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.  A Funeral Service will be held on June 3, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home Chapel 205 Corky Boyd Ave. Wills Point Texas. A visitation will be held two hours prior beginning at 12:00 PM.
