Funeral services for Georgia Louise Shaw, 90, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. Tim Mabe officiating. Interment will follow at Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale.
She passed away early Thursday morning, March 1, 2018, at her residence in Wills Point.
Louise was born February 29, 1928, in Santa Marie, Texas, the daughter of George Washington Lewis and Stella Mae Veleman Lewis. She was raised in Mesquite and graduated from Mesquite High School in 1946. She was married to Sefton W. Moore and later to Herschel "Buddy" Shaw. Louise was formerly employed by Premier Adjusters Inc. in Dallas, where she was a skip tracer and a property manager for Smith Investments in Dallas. She lived in Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point in 1993. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, eating out at restaurants, talking on the phone and doing laundry. She was an avid reader, loved taking care of her cats and dogs and donating to disabled veterans. Louise attended Guiding Star Assembly of God in Sunnyvale.
Preceded in death by her parents, George and Stella Mae Lewis; husbands, Sefton W. Moore and Herschel "Buddy" Shaw and a son, George Moore.
Louise is survived by two sons, Wayne Moore & wife, Joy, of Brownsville and Bob Moore & wife, Betty, of Brownsville; four daughters, Kathi Poynter, of Whitesboro, Karen Payne & husband, John, of Wills Point, Kristi Plemons & husband, Jim, of Kaufman and Karmen McCarroll & husband, Mike, of Wills Point; daughter-in-law, Sheila Hantsche, of Point; niece, Teresa Millican, of Wills Point; grandchildren, Kevin Murphy, Katrina Goodson & husband, Mogee, Kaleen Heim & husband, Rick, Don Poynter & wife, Jessica, Wil Rigdon & wife, Katy, Josh Payne & wife, Nikki, Amanda Payne, Matthew Moore, Sherry Moore-Pires & husband, Carleide, Lori Moore, Wendy Moore, Bobby Moore & wife, Angela, James Harmon & wife, Diane, Sue Phetteplace & husband, Gary and Ray Wesley Moore; thirty-nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
