Funeral services for Margaret Dagley, 94, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Fred Cooper officiating. Graveside service will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
She passed away early Sunday morning, December 20, 2015 in Grand Saline.
Margaret was born June 7, 1921, in Buckholts, Texas, the daughter of Louis H. McKnight and Laura Maude McClure McKnight. She was raised in Dallas and graduated from Forest Ave. High School. She later attended Navarro Jr. College in Corsicana. Margaret married Grady Roberts on February 3, 1940 and he passed away on December 17, 1960 and on September 29, 1973, she married Claude Dagley in Terrell and he passed away on February 27, 2013. Margaret was employed as a nurse for Terrell State Hospital for twenty years, retiring on February 24, 1984. She enjoyed working with the patients and looked forward each day to helping them. After retiring, she enjoyed taking trips with her husband, Claude, working in her yard, hosting parties, cooking, talking and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a veteran life member of the Rebekah Lodge. Margaret also was a member of Turner Baptist Church south of Wills Point
Preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Laura McKnight; two husband, Grady Roberts and Claude Dagley; brother, Harris McKnight; sister, Melba Robertson and a niece, Carolyn McKnight Duckett.
Margaret is survived by a sister, Virginia West & husband, James, of Ft. Worth; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
