Funeral services for Maria Del Carmen Alonzo, 51, of Wills Point are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point with Rev. Patrick Fenton officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

She passed away Sunday night, November 30, 2014 due to an accident.

Maria was born March 27, 1963 Muzquiz Coahuila Mexico the daughter of Rogelio Hernandez and Betzabet Luna Hernandez. She was raised in Mexico and in 1979, she moved to Wills Point. Maria married Alejandro Alonzo in 1979. She was employed by the Dairy Queen in Wills Point for three years, Jaw-Tec for four years, Vision Printing Center for seven years and was currently employed by Big Tex Trailers east of Wills Point for the past year. Maria loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her son, daughter and grandkids. She also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. Maria was of the Catholic faith.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Antonio Hernandez & Carmen Lopez and Antonio Luna & Margarita Lerma Del Luna.

Maria is survived by her parents, Rogelio & Betzabet Hernandez; son, Alfonso Hernandez & wife, Susan; daughter, Daniela Esquivel & husband, Julio; brother, Jose Roberto Hernandez & wife, Claudia Hernandez; three sisters, Margarita Lira & husband, Jesus, Lourdes Hernandez and Fransisca Hernandez; six grandchildren, Valeree, Joselynn, Jayden and Evelynn Esquivel, Britanee Webb and Chelsea Hernandez; significant other, Fidencio Gaytan; father of her children, Alejandro Alonzo; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. and at 7:00 the rosary will begin.
