Obituary

Maria Favela, 73, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on April 7, 2024. She was born on November 20, 1950, in San Pedro, Coahuila Mexico.

Maria was known for her loving, funny, and friendly nature. She worked for the Dallas ISD as a cook until her retirement in 2016. Maria found joy in driving and seeing the countryside, as well as spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her four daughters, Rocio Villegas Gaytan Favela and husband Antonio, Elva Leticia Gaytan Favela and husband Manuel, Ofelia Gaytan Favela and husband Fernando, Julieta Gaytan Favela and husband Jose Luis; Adrian Gaytan Moreno and wife Graciela. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel Favela Ramirez and Maria Nino Carrillo, her husband Jaime Gloria, her son Jesus Gaytan Favela, her brother Miguel Favela Nino, and her sister Paulina Favela Nino.

Maria will be remembered by her 14 grandchildren, Ashley, Annalise, Ana Sarahi, Jusef, Viviana, Fernando, Nancy, Benito, Elsa Olivia, Jose Luis, Paola, Adrian Misael, Leticia Arizbeth and Valeria, along with 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will host visitation on Thursday, April 11, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m., and graveside services following, under the direction of Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Maria Favela was a cherished member of the More 2 Life Community Church.
